Description

We present organic yarrow hydrolate for perfumery, whose raw material comes from the species Achillea millefolium. The distillate is offered under the name White Yarrow organic hydrolate for perfumery. The genus of the plant belongs to the Asteraceae family, and the raw material for the distillate is provided by the stalk. Its composition remains entirely organic and contains neither preservatives nor colorants. The purity stems from the organic crop, whose cultivation excludes chemical pest control agents and the application of artificial fertilizers to the fields. The scent combines a sweet and an herbal side, while spicy notes become noticeable toward its end. The medium level of strength keeps the three sides in balance. The perception remains even to the end. The hydrolate ranges from colorless to pale yellow. The dark part of the range is due to chamazulene, into which the proazulenes from the plant tissue are converted during steam extraction. The flowers, stems and leaves of the species bear biseriate glandular hairs, in which the aromatic substances of the plant accumulate. The entire aerial part is processed, so the distillate reflects the substances from all three organs. Extraction with steam determines the purity of the scent, since only the soluble volatile constituents of the plant raw material pass into the aqueous phase. The fields with the crop are located in regions of Bulgaria where cultivation follows organic practice. In addition, organic management also covers the soil on which the crop stands throughout its entire development cycle. The distillate looks clear and homogeneous. The biseriate hairs and the canal-like tissue retain the aromatic substances, as these remain enclosed in the plant until the very moment of heating with steam. The yarrow stalk sets the sweet herbal line across the entire range of the distillate.

In perfumery, yarrow hydrolate is used as an ingredient in luxury fragrance compositions, in fragrances for everyday use and in compositions for special occasions, where it adds a fresh, herbal and slightly spicy character. It is included in blends combining scents of herbs and flowers, as well as in eco essences based on plant extracts, and also in handmade and personalized eaux de toilette created according to individual preferences. It is suitable for aqueous fragrance compositions with an herbal note and for hair fragrances that leave a feeling of freshness. In addition, the hydrolate is used for scenting cosmetic products, giving them a delicate and balanced scent for skin and hair. In the home, it is used in fragrance sprays with a light herbal accent, in sprays for scenting linen and fabrics, in products for freshening indoor air and for scenting rooms with herbal and floral essences. It also finds a place in aromatic oils for aromatherapy with a calming note, in aromatic jewelry with a light grassy scent, as well as in compositions with relaxing properties intended for personal use.

Storage

Store organic yarrow hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably dark glass, which protect the perfumery hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
