Description
Our natural sweet wormwood essential oil for cosmetics is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Artemisia annua. In international practice, the product is designated as Sweet wormwood natural essential oil for cosmetics. The oil is a mobile liquid with a pronounced olfactory character that combines spicy, herbal and sweet-woody nuances into a dense and easily recognisable whole. The nuances unfold within a strong aroma typical of the leaf raw material. Steam distillation of the leaves separates only the volatile fraction, which is why the profile remains clean and well defined. The leaves belong to an annual herb of the Asteraceae family, whose natural range covers Southeastern Europe and the temperate regions of Asia. Bulgaria, where the raw material for the oil comes from, also falls within this range. The plants grow in open fields, while the glandular hairs on their leaves accumulate the aromatic substances on which the olfactory profile of the product depends. Natural cultivation determines the purity of the composition, which remains entirely natural, without added preservatives and colourants. In addition, the composition includes only the substances separated from the plant raw material during distillation. The pure composition is obtained entirely from the leaf part of the herb. Alongside its pure composition, the oil carries an expressive character that originates from the aromatic leaves of sweet wormwood. The Bulgarian origin ensures raw material from a region where the species finds suitable soil and climatic conditions for full development during the summer months. The product also displays an amber yellowish-brown colour that results from the pigments in the leaf tissue.

It is included in face creams, lotions, masks and serums designed to soothe sensitive skin, refresh and support detoxification, protect against external aggressors and combat the first signs of ageing. It is suitable for cleansing gels, toners and exfoliants for balancing and gently cleansing the skin, as well as for products for acne-prone and oily skin with a sebum-regulating effect. It is used in body, hand and foot creams and balsams to restore dry, rough and cracked skin, for winter protection and for nourishing cracked heels, as well as in gels with a cooling effect and lotions with antioxidant protection. It finds a place in scalp and hair care products, including shampoos, balsams and masks for strengthening, elasticity, softness and regulation of oiliness. It is used in after-sun and after-epilation lotions, in eye contour products against puffiness, in night regenerating serums and in care products for skin prone to dermatitis and rosacea. The oil is also found in lip balms, in face and massage oils with a soft herbal profile, in herbal-based intimate hygiene products, in gentle products for baby skin and in skin care after SPA and sauna treatments, as well as in products for restoring the skin barrier and the water-lipid balance.

Storage

Store natural sweet wormwood essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, pour the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for cosmetics from light. Close tightly after each use so that air and moisture cannot penetrate. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
