Description

We offer organic yarrow hydrolate for animals, obtained from the plant Achillea millefolium. In international practice, the product bears the name White Yarrow organic hydrolate for animals. All of the raw material for the distillate comes from Bulgarian plantations, and the plant belongs to the Asteraceae family. The aerial stalk is used in the distillation together with the flowers and leaves, which carry the aromatic substances. The scent starts from a sweet and herbal base and finishes with spicy notes that are perceptible throughout the profile. The substances described for the species include bisabolol, borneol, sabinene, caryophyllene and pinene, and it is precisely these that explain the herbal side of the aroma of the liquid. The hydrolate ranges from colorless to pale yellow. Steam distillation determines the purity of the liquid, as its scent comes only from the plant mass and carries no foreign traces. Preservatives and colorants do not go into the distillate, and the organic origin also applies to the ingredients in it. The plants are grown according to organic rules, which is why no synthetic agents get into them and the distillate retains a pure plant composition. The product is a liquid of plant origin. The aroma stays at a medium level of strength. The medium strength of the scent goes together with the liquid form of the product and the organic origin of the raw material. It is often included in coat freshening sprays, in cleansing foams and wipes for daily hygiene, and also in cleansing products for ears and eyes. In horse care, the hydrolate is present in massage lotions and in mane and tail sprays, while for farm species it is used in hoof hygiene solutions and in udder care creams for dairy cows and goats. In addition, it is part of the composition of sprays against insects and skin parasites, shampoos against fleas and ticks, as well as disinfecting solutions for cages and barns. Cosmetics manufacturers also value it as a component of powders, soaps and conditioners intended for professional and home use.

Storage

Store organic yarrow hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
