Description

Our natural thyme hydrolate for perfumery is obtained from the plant Thymus vulgaris. Outside the country, the liquid is known as Thyme natural hydrolate for perfumery. The aroma emerges with a strong character, and in it the herbal side leads ahead of the woody trace, which remains in the background. The glandular hairs of the plant are located on both sides of the leaf, which is why the leaf mass provides the main share of the scent of the finished liquid. The entire aboveground stalk is used for the distillation. The dark color range of the distillate, between yellowish and dark brown, comes precisely from this dense aboveground part and not from any added substance. The extraction is carried out with steam, since the steam method keeps the herbal tone pure and free of foreign impurities. The product is a clear and free-flowing liquid. The species belongs to the Lamiaceae family. The plantations develop naturally on Bulgarian land, so the composition of the liquid contains neither preservatives nor colorants. While the dense herbal base holds first place in the profile, the woody trace stays beneath it and gives the scent a second layer. Alongside the high strength of the aroma, there also remains the dark tone that the liquid receives from the processed green mass. The composition accepts nothing beyond its own plant part. The herbal density and the woody nuance hold together throughout the entire aromatic pattern. The cultivation method determines the purity of the composition, while the choice of aboveground mass stands behind the color and the density of the herbal scent. The hydrolate remains close to the raw material both in its aromatic profile and in its color range. Thyme gives this distillate its strength and its herbal direction.

Application
Thyme stalk hydrolate, obtained by steam distillation from natural cultivation, is a valuable raw material in perfumery thanks to its warm, herbal and spicy character. It is used in creating aromatic compositions with a herbal base, in eaux de toilette with a refreshing and energizing effect, as well as in essences for niche creations with a rich, earthy profile. It is suitable for making wax melts and solid body fragrances, sprays with a delicate and long-lasting scent, as well as scented candles with a warm herbal note. It is also applied in compositions for sachet fillings, in oils for scenting textiles, as well as in compact fragrance blocks intended for travel. Its stable aroma also allows inclusion in lines of unisex essences, in compositions for spa rituals with an aromatic element, as well as in home freshening products with a clean, natural character.

Storage

Store natural thyme hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably dark glass, which protect the perfumery hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
