Description

We present natural thyme hydrolate for drinks, obtained from the plant Thymus vulgaris. The liquid is offered under the name Thyme natural hydrolate for drinks. The product is obtained by steam distillation of the harvested aerial part of the plant. The pure herbal tone of the scent is due precisely to the steam extraction method. The aromatic substances accumulate in the secretory cells of the glandular trichomes and are retained in the subcuticular space, which is why the harvested aerial mass carries a concentrated volatile fraction. The aerial stalk together with its leaf mass is used for processing. The color ranges from yellowish to dark brown and follows the density of the processed stalk. The strength of the aroma is at the upper end. The herbal base holds first place, while the woody notes run beneath it and complement the profile. The distillate is a clear and mobile liquid. The species belongs to the Lamiaceae family and shares the appearance of the aromatic labiate herbs. The plantations grow on Bulgarian land under a natural regime, and therefore the composition reaches the final liquid without preservatives and without colorants. In addition, the liquid links its dark range with its rich scent, since both properties come from the same aerial plant part. The hydrolate preserves the herbal character of the raw material throughout its aromatic volume and tone. The natural cultivation regime preserves the pure composition, while steam processing keeps the scent close to the original plant mass. Since the glandular tissue of the leaves carries the main aromatic share, the strength of the scent goes hand in hand with the condition of the harvested green mass. It is also used in the production of tonic formulas with an invigorating effect, in infused waters for athletes, as well as in refreshing solutions that give freshness and herbal character to traditional recipes.

Storage

Store natural thyme hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for drink products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for drinks from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the quality and safety of the product for a longer period.
