Description

We present natural tansy hydrolate for perfumery, obtained from the plant Tanacetum vulgare. It is known as Tansy natural hydrolate for perfumery. The aroma remains strong, and the bitter, sharp and rich elements follow a common and dense order. Steam distillation keeps the profile pure, which is why the sharp bitterness of the scent is clearly recognizable throughout the profile of the finished liquid. The raw material is provided by the corymbs of flower heads, in which only yellow tubular florets are arranged, and this dense structure carries the aromatic weight. Systematically, the species belongs to the Asteraceae family, and the inflorescences come from Bulgarian plantations and fields. The plantations are maintained naturally. Since the regime is natural, the composition is limited to the substances of the plant and contains no preservatives and no colorants, and its purity is evident. The color stays between colorless and slightly greenish. The distillate is a transparent liquid with an even appearance. The flower heads are used for extraction at the full flowering stage, and therefore the scent remains dense and well defined throughout the finished distillate. Biseriate glandular trichomes produce the volatile fraction, and the secretion remains in a subcuticular cavity, which explains the density of the scent in the finished liquid. Camphor, chrysanthenyl acetate and thujone stand out among the characteristic constituents of the oil from the inflorescences. In addition, the product retains its floral character. It is precisely the combination of the flowering raw material and the gentle steam that explains why the strong scent runs dense and recognizable through the entire profile of the liquid. Natural tansy hydrolate carries the character of its inflorescences and of the Bulgarian land.
