Description

We offer natural St. John's wort hydrolate for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the plant Hypericum perforatum. In international practice, the distillate is designated as St. John's wort Natural Hydrolat for Pharmaceuticals. The species belongs to the Hypericaceae family, in which glandular reservoirs are a common feature of the aerial and floral tissue. The floral part of the plant is used, and its light coloring passes into the tone of the finished liquid. The raw material is of Bulgarian origin, and cultivation takes place entirely under a natural regime. Production by steam distillation is evident in the purity of the aromatic profile, where the herbal base runs ahead of the warm shade, while the light sweet tone remains furthest behind. Preservatives and colorants are absent from the composition, and the content of the liquid is limited to water and volatile constituents from the flower mass. The accumulation of volatile compounds takes place through secretory cells, cavities and canals, which accounts for the stable aromatic character of the flower mass in this species. The liquid is colorless or has a pale yellow shade. The liquid form of the product remains clear. Since the plants are grown under a natural regime, the original flower mass reaches extraction without traces of foreign substances in its tissue. The pale yellow tone of the liquid derives from the light coloring of the flowers, more precisely from their natural color range. The mild level of the aroma is due to the limited volatile content gathered in the aqueous phase. The finished liquid carries the light tone of the flower mass and the mild herbal warmth of its scent.

Application
St. John's wort flower hydrolate is used in pharmaceuticals as an aqueous base in the creation of antiseptic solutions with a restorative action and of liquids for local application that help control inflammatory processes of the skin. It is included in regenerating skin formulas with a soothing effect, as well as in restorative emulsions for damaged skin, where it contributes to a mild and delicate final product. It is suitable for soothing dermal liquids for irritation and redness, as well as for local solutions used for superficial injuries and external influences. Manufacturers incorporate it into supportive formulas that contribute to skin comfort and the stability of the skin barrier, as well as into liquid compositions developed specifically for sensitive skin. In addition, it is part of antibacterial liquid compositions for external use, soothing solutions for delicate areas and regenerating dermal liquids aimed at restoring the balance of the skin in cases of skin discomfort. Thanks to its delicate character, it fits well into developments that call for a gentle approach to sensitive skin.
