Description

We present organic spruce needle hydrolate for aromatherapy, obtained from the needles of the Picea abies tree. The liquid is known as Spruce organic hydrolate for aromatherapy. The areas are cared for according to organic principles, and neither synthetic agents nor artificial fertilizers reach the needles throughout the entire growing season. The needles are used for extraction, while the cones and bark remain outside the processing. Extraction by steam distillation defines the fresh aromatic progression, because only the volatile substances of the raw material enter the aqueous phase, and they build the entire profile of the liquid. The aroma has great strength and combines a fresh side with a resinous one and with forest nuances in one common progression. The resin ducts occupy the mesophyll of the needle and extend along its longitudinal axis, which is evident in the resinous side of the raw material while still on the tree. The color lies within the range between colorless and pale yellow. The pale half-tone is due to the substances that the needles release during steam extraction. The liquid looks clear and homogeneous from the surface to the bottom of the volume. The species belongs to the Pinaceae family, and the plantations are located on areas in Bulgaria and receive constant care during the season. The constituents of the needles and one-year-old twigs include bornyl acetate, limonene, pinene and borneol, which carry the fresh side of the profile. The oxygenated monoterpenes borneol and terpineol are among the main compounds in the aqueous phase of this species. In addition, the liquid contains water together with the volatile compounds of the harvested needles, while colorants and preservatives are not part of its composition. It is precisely the organic cultivation that determines the purity of the final composition. The fresh resinous tone remains dominant in organic spruce needle hydrolate.

Storage

Store organic spruce needle hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably dark glass, which protect the aromatherapy hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
