Description

Our organic linden blossom hydrolate for foods is obtained from the species Tilia cordata. It bears the name Linden Blossom organic hydrolate for food. The raw material comes from Bulgarian plantations where the trees are grown organically. The plant is classified in the Malvaceae family. The flowers enter distillation together with the tongue-shaped membranous bracts fused to the stalks of the inflorescences. Steam distillation keeps the aroma close to the original floral material, and the floral base is clearly perceptible in the finished liquid as well. The trees develop without artificial support, so the composition remains organic and accepts only what comes from the processed flowers of the tree. Preservatives and colorants stay out of the liquid. The color range goes from colorless to slightly yellowish, and the liquid remains clear and retains its homogeneous consistency. A mild strength defines the aroma, and the scent unites spicy, floral and herbal sides. Citronellol, limonene, terpineol, farnesol and nerol have been found in the volatile part of the inflorescences, which gives the soft scent more than one aromatic layer. Storage
