Description

We present organic hyssop hydrolate for animals, obtained from the species Hyssopus officinalis. It bears the name Hyssop organic hydrolate for animals in international practice. The plants are grown organically, and therefore the liquid carries only their own substances, without preservatives and without colorants in its composition. The Lamiaceae family includes the species, and the fields with the raw material lie in Bulgaria. Steam distillation is at the basis of the product, which is why its herbal profile remains clean and concentrated, while the resinous facet is clearly perceptible. The aboveground stalk together with the inflorescences is used for the extraction, which defines the density of the herbal character. The aroma maintains a medium level and encompasses herbal, sweetish and resinous facets. The color varies between colorless and a light yellowish tone. Since the liquid originates from the stalk and not from a flower part, its light color follows the plant structure of the entire starting raw material. The distillate is a clear and even liquid. The peltate glandular trichomes on the upper and lower surfaces of the leaf hold the volatile fraction, which determines the strength of the herbal scent in the finished distillate. Among the leading volatile constituents of the plant are pinocamphone, germacrene, pinene and elemol. As a subshrub, the species occurs in the temperate biome, while the scent remains in the aboveground mass. In addition, the hydrolate preserves its herbal signature. Storage

Store organic hyssop hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
