Description
We offer organic German chamomile hydrolate for cosmetics, obtained from the species Matricaria chamomilla. In international practice, the product is referred to as German Chamomile organic hydrolate for cosmetics. The plants are grown organically on open fields in Bulgaria. The organic care regime also determines the composition of the liquid, as no preservatives, colorants or other external ingredients are added to the aqueous base. The flower heads of the plant are used for extraction. White ray florets grow along the periphery of the flower head, while the yellow tubular florets are arranged on the hollow conical receptacle. The tubular florets in the center of the flower head provide the main part of the volatile fraction, which determines the direction of the scent. The product is obtained by steam distillation, and it is precisely this method of extraction that keeps the aromatic profile of the finished liquid within narrow and clear limits. The aroma remains in its soft strength. The sweet and fruity sides intertwine with the warm nuance in the overall scent. The Asteraceae family places the plant among the species with a capitulum inflorescence and a glandular apparatus on the flower. The biseriate glandular hairs on the corolla and the ovary take over the secretion of volatile substances, along with the canals inside the receptacle of the inflorescence. The blue tone of the liquid is due to chamazulene, which comes from matricin in the flower tissue, so the color ranges from pale blue to dark blue. The distillate is a clear liquid with an even internal flow. In addition, the flower raw material and the organic origin of the plantations stand behind the overall character of this plant distillate. The floral origin, the soft sweetness and the blue color range remain in the finished liquid.
Application
Organic German chamomile flower hydrolate, obtained by steam distillation, is used in cosmetics in the preparation of cleansing facial toners with a soothing effect. It is suitable for moisturizing creams with a supportive action, for refreshing facial mists with a soft character, and for formulas for the care of sensitive skin. It is included in cleansing gels with a delicate profile, in serums for maintaining skin balance, as well as in emulsions for daily care with a fine herbal nuance. It is also suitable for eye area formulas that require a soft texture, as well as for after-sun care compositions with a soothing action. The hydrolate brings a natural, unobtrusive scent to the final products and contributes to a pleasant sensation when applied to the skin. It is also used in facial masks with a refreshing effect, intended to maintain the fresh appearance of the skin throughout the day.
