Description

We offer an organic sage hydrolate for cosmetics, obtained from the plant species Salvia sclarea. It is known as Clary Sage organic hydrolate for cosmetics. The raw material is the flowering aerial mass, and the large capitate trichomes on the calyx of the flowers accumulate linalyl acetate and sclareol in their extensive tissue. Next to them on the calyx are capitate and peltate glandular trichomes, which build the glandular covering of the entire flowering inflorescence. This species, whose aromatic substances remain in the aerial mass above the soil rather than in its root, also belongs to the Lamiaceae family. The soft course of the olfactory profile results from steam distillation, during which the aqueous phase takes up mainly the polar oxygenated volatile compounds of the raw material. The aroma is of medium strength, and the bitter, herbal and spicy elements merge into a single overall olfactory impression. The tone starts from colorless and stops at a slight yellowish tint. The scarce coloring substances explain the faint coloration of the distillate. The plantations in Bulgaria are managed according to organic rules, and chemical agents against pests and synthetic fertilizers are completely excluded from the entire cultivation. Organic cultivation keeps the stalk free of residues, which is why the olfactory picture is due solely to the plant material itself. In addition, preservatives and colorants remain absent from this liquid. Linalyl acetate, linalool and caryophyllene lead among the volatile constituents of the raw material and determine the herbal tone. The herbal line lies at the base, while the bitter and spicy elements arrange themselves around it. The clear liquid maintains homogeneity throughout its volume. The dry and herbal direction of the scent is determined by the stalk origin. The distillate remains connected with the flowering raw material until the very last moment.

The liquid is included in night face creams, in exfoliants with a gentle action and in sheet masks for intensive care. It is applied in after-sun oils, in hand creams with a softening effect and in hair masks with a restorative action. It is used in lip balms with a nourishing formula, in body oils with a light texture and in anti-aging serums. It also finds application in pore-tightening toners, in cleansing balms for makeup removal, as well as in night regeneration creams. It is suitable for fluids for mature skin, for serums with a smoothing effect and for body lotions with a silky texture. It is also used in hair shine masks, in eye contour creams with a firming action, as well as in toners for maintaining elasticity, giving the skin a sense of balance and vitality.

Storage

Store organic sage hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably dark glass, which protect the cosmetic hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
