Description
We present organic rosemary essential oil for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the species Rosmarinus officinalis. In international practice, the liquid bears the name Rosemary organic essential oil for pharmaceuticals. In consistency, the oil remains liquid, and its colour ranges from colourless to slightly yellowish. The faint colour comes from the green aboveground stalk, as its tissues release few colouring substances during the extraction of the volatile fraction. The aroma remains strong, and the olfactory profile encompasses fresh, herbal and woody notes. Steam distillation carries over only the volatile constituents, which is why the scent remains pure and reproduces the olfactory character of the aboveground plant material harvested from the field. In addition, the strong scent goes together with the pale colour and the liquid appearance. The oil combines the advantages of Bulgarian origin, organic cultivation and whole aboveground raw material, which is evident in its uniform appearance and its pure profile. The raw material comes from an evergreen shrub classified in the botanical family Lamiaceae. The shrub occupies areas in Bulgaria and undergoes an organic cultivation regime. The whole stalk is used for the extraction, because the glands containing aromatic substances cover the entire aboveground surface of the plant. Organic cultivation keeps the field free of synthetic auxiliary substances, so the composition includes only what the plant creates in its aerial parts. The composition remains entirely organic and plant-based in origin. Neither a preservative nor a colourant is part of it. Rosemary oil retains its liquid appearance, strong scent and pale yellowish colour.

Storage

Store organic rosemary essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and changes in quality. After opening, limit the amount of air in the container, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for pharmaceutical products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for pharmaceuticals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the quality and safety of the product for a longer period.
