The composition of the oil remains entirely natural and is based solely on the substances released during distillation by the wild plant raw material from the Bulgarian populations. Preservatives and colourants play no part in its formation. The purity of the composition is due to natural cultivation, which allows the herb to grow independently until full bloom throughout the warm season. In addition, the wild populations also determine the sensory characteristics of the resulting liquid. The liquid has a rich blue-green colour, and the source of this tone is the azulenes from the flowers. The colour is accompanied by a fresh and minty scent with a light sweetness at its finish. The scent remains pure and clearly defined because steam distillation separates only the volatile portion of the floral raw material. Distillation is based specifically on the flowers of a species in the Asteraceae family, distributed across the temperate regions of Europe. The populations supplying the raw material are located in Bulgaria along dry field boundaries, on river terraces and on uncultivated land. These areas shelter the wild population, which forms dense yellow inflorescences. The inflorescences provide the raw material that carries the product's advantages, including wild origin and a strong olfactory character. These advantages also rest on scientific observations of the species, according to which oxygenated monoterpenes account for a leading share of the composition of tansy oil. Storage
