Description
Our natural St. John's wort essential oil for aromatherapy is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Hypericum perforatum. In international practice the product is designated as St. John's Wort natural essential oil for aromatherapy. The plant belongs to the family Hypericaceae, and its natural range covers the temperate areas of Europe and Northwest Africa and reaches east as far as China. The European part of the range includes Bulgaria, where the raw material for the oil comes from. The Bulgarian origin provides the flowers, which are picked at the height of flowering, since it is precisely in this period that the flowers contain the volatile fraction that passes into the finished product. The extraction of this fraction takes place through steam distillation. Steam distillation spares the volatile substances and therefore gives the fragrance a clear natural purity. The fragrance unfolds a warm and soft tone, and its type remains herbal and slightly sweet. The herbal type is complemented by the pale yellow colour that the flowers impart to the liquid during extraction. The mobile liquid keeps a uniform structure in every part. Its composition is fully natural and remains free of preservatives and colourants. The natural cultivation method maintains this purity of the composition, because the raw material grows in a natural environment, without artificial intervention on the plant tissue. The purity of the composition is combined with the soft fragrance that the oil receives from the flowers of the species. The olfactory profile, the pale yellow tone and the mobile consistency go together with the fully natural composition, along with the origin of the raw material from the Bulgarian fields. St. John's wort oil retains the warm nuance of the flowers gathered in Bulgaria.
