Description
Our natural nettle root CO2 select extract for aromatherapy is obtained by processing the underground part of the plant Urtica dioica. The part used covers the entire root mass. The Urticaceae family places the herb among the herbaceous perennial species. The natural distribution of the species covers Europe, Siberia, Western China and Northwest Africa, and the Bulgarian fields fall within this vast range. Natural cultivation on our land takes place without synthetic fertilisers and without chemical protective agents. The plant material comes from fields in Bulgaria, where the soils retain a rich nitrogen reserve. Supercritical carbon dioxide takes on the role of the carrier medium, and the drop in pressure releases it again as a gas. Therefore, the liquid concentrate remains free of traces of an extraneous solvent. The odour strength is at a medium to intense level, as the selective extraction transfers mainly the volatile substances of the underground tissue into the final fraction. The earthy and herbal odour with slightly grassy nuances dominates the olfactory picture. The clear odour profile is directly linked to the gaseous medium under pressure, which leaves no imprint of its own on the extract. The consistency remains liquid throughout the entire storage period at normal temperature. The colour range covers dark greenish or brownish tones. The greenish tint comes from the chlorophyll in the upper zone of the rhizome, while the brownish base points to the resinous and sterol substances of the deep tissue. The composition is limited to the root concentrate, because preservatives and colourants have no access during extraction with gas under high pressure. In addition, water and auxiliary carriers have no share in the resulting liquid. The dark greenish or brownish nettle liquid retains its appearance in a closed container.
Application
Nettle root extract obtained by the supercritical CO2 method is widely used in aromatherapy as a valuable component for enriching massage oils with a deep earthy and herbal profile. It is included in aromatherapy blends intended for toning the mind and body, and its stable aroma makes it suitable for carrier oils used in diffusers. The grounding and balancing action of the extract establishes it as an ingredient in compositions for evening relaxation and meditative practices where a deep plant character is sought. Aroma bath oils containing it support the restoration of inner balance, while aromatic blends with nettle root are valued for their ability to support concentration and stabilise the emotional state. In aromatherapy candles, the extract contributes to creating an earthy and deep aromatic profile with a herbal texture. The product is also suitable for energising morning inhalations, balancing breathing blends and therapeutic formulas that require a plant base with a warm and lasting aroma.
Storage
Store natural nettle root CO2 select extract in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C, and in this way you will prevent oxidation and loss of properties. Limit the exposure to air in the opened packaging, and transfer the remaining quantity to a smaller clean and dry container. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the extract for aromatherapy from light. Do not leave the container open, as air and moisture impair the quality parameters. When the conditions are observed, the aroma and quality are preserved for longer.
Attention !!!
Please use nettle root extract according to the described instructions and follow the safety recommendations. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes, and in case of contact rinse thoroughly with water. Stop using nettle root extract if an allergy such as redness or irritation appears. We recommend performing an allergy test before use.
