Description
Our organic geranium essential oil for aromatherapy is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Geranium macrorrhizum. In international practice the product is designated as Geranium organic essential oil for aromatherapy. The species belongs to the family Geraniaceae, whose natural range covers Central and Southeastern Europe and reaches the western parts of Asia Minor. Bulgaria, where the plant raw material comes from, lies precisely in this area. The raw material grows under organic cultivation in the mountain regions of the country, where the perennial plant forms dense tufts and develops its characteristic palmately cut leaves. The leaves of the plant have a sticky surface, and the aromatic fraction of the species is concentrated in them. The fraction is separated by steam distillation, and this method retains only the volatile molecules of the leaf mass and therefore imparts a pure scent to the product. The scent reveals sweet, woody and herbaceous nuances with fresh intensity. Alongside the olfactory profile the liquid shows a yellow-greenish colour. The yellow-greenish tone derives from the leaf mass, which passes part of its own green colouring on to the oil. The colouring accompanies the composition, which lacks preservatives and colourants. The composition retains its purity, since organic cultivation excludes synthetic detergents on the plantations and leaves fully organic ingredients in the oil. The purity forms one of the advantages, alongside which stands the mountain origin of the raw material. Storage

Store organic geranium essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, pour the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for aromatherapy from light. Close tightly after each use so that air and moisture do not penetrate. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
