Description
Our natural melissa essential oil for detergents is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Melissa officinalis. In international practice, the product is offered under the name Melissa natural essential oil for detergents. Classification places the plant in the Lamiaceae family, where perennial herbs with volatile glands on the aerial parts, rich in aromatic substances, predominate. The family includes crops with a dense fragrance, and the starting material for the product comes from perennial plantations in the fields of Bulgaria. We work with stalk harvested from the Bulgarian plantations. Steam distillation separates the volatile part of the raw material, so the scent of the product remains clear, pure and equally dense throughout the entire volume of the liquid. The clarity of the scent comes together with a sharp character, a sweet and spicy density and a light citrus end to the whole fragrance. The citrus end stems from the aldehyde part, in which neral and geranial, the two isomers of citral in the volatile fraction of the species, predominate. The aldehydes pass through unchanged during extraction, which is why the olfactory picture of the oil retains density and inner clarity. The herb grows naturally, which establishes a pure plant composition. The oil receives no preservatives or colourants, while its purity remains plant-based. The plant purity is also reflected in the appearance of the liquid. Its consistency remains mobile and homogeneous throughout the entire volume. The oil appears colourless or pale yellow. The stalk used keeps the colour pale, because it releases faintly coloured volatile substances that add almost no pigment to the finished oily liquid. The aldehydes in the product originate from naturally grown Bulgarian stalk.

Application
Melissa essential oil is used in the production of cleaning and fragrancing detergents, to which it imparts a fresh, sweet and spicy aroma with a light citrus note. It is applied to fragrance cleaning solutions, all-purpose dishwashing agents, washing powder, fabric softeners and toilet blocks, as well as in the creation of natural disinfectants and biodegradable formulas. It finds application in agents for the care of kitchen surfaces, worktops and appliances, glass, mirrors, bathrooms, bathtubs and shower cabins, where it exhibits antimicrobial action, as well as in products for hard-to-reach surfaces and mould removal. It enriches hand disinfection products, aromatic gels, wet wipes for hands and face, natural soaps and agents for cleaning office equipment. It is also used in the care of children's toys, furniture and accessories, as well as for wooden surfaces, upholstery and floor coverings made of natural materials, and also for freshening wardrobes, curtains, blinds, refrigerators and household appliances. It is suitable for freshening the air in enclosed rooms, offices and public spaces, for fragrancing car interiors, shoes and bags, for pet care and for hygiene in rooms with animals, as well as for formulas with a relaxing effect and a light herbal aroma.
