Description

Our organic sage hydrolate for animals is made from raw material that comes from plants of the species Salvia sclarea. The product is known as Clary Sage organic hydrolate for animals. The organic cultivation practice excludes synthetic agents and feeding with artificial substances, so the raw material reaches processing clean and unaltered. The plant belongs to the Lamiaceae family, and the plantations occupy fields in Bulgaria. Extraction is carried out with steam, and this determines the clean development of the scent in the finished liquid. The entire aerial mass is processed, while the root system remains in the soil. The color changes from colorless to slightly yellowish, and the light shade comes from the pigments of the plant tissue. The liquid looks clear and remains uniform throughout its entire volume. The aroma is of medium strength, and bitter, herbal and spicy sides of the raw material alternate in the profile, as becomes evident when the scent lingers longer. The medium strength of the scent is due to the amount of volatile substances that the aqueous phase takes up from the plant mass. In sage, the glandular trichomes on the calyx of the flower accumulate sclareol and linalyl acetate, and their presence accounts for the persistence of the herbal tone in the liquid. Descriptions of the flowering stalk place linalyl acetate, linalool and caryophyllene among the main constituents in this species. The absence of synthetic agents on the fields determines the composition, so only the substances of the plant itself reach the liquid. In addition, the composition is limited to water and the volatile substances of the stalk, and colorants and preservatives are absent. Storage

Store organic sage hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
