Description

Our natural sage hydrolate for supplements originates from the plant species Salvia sclarea. It is known under the name Clary Sage natural hydrolate for supplements. The natural composition leaves no room for preservatives or colorants. The raw material comes from Bulgaria, and the plantations are tended according to natural rules that exclude synthetic fertilizers and chemical agents against plant pests. The plant belongs to the Lamiaceae family, and its volatile substances remain in the flowering stalk above the ground. The large capitate trichomes on the calyx of the flowers are the site of formation and accumulation of linalyl acetate and sclareol in this plant species. The refined olfactory profile is obtained through steam distillation, since mainly the polar oxygenated volatile compounds remain in the water. The aroma is of medium strength, the herbal side comes to the fore, and the bitter one appears after it. The tone stays between colorless and slightly yellowish and does not go beyond this range. The pale yellowish tint reveals the small amount of coloring substances in the distillate. The olfactory character is built on linalyl acetate, linalool and caryophyllene, which is why the spiciness is clearly perceptible. The spiciness derives from these compounds, while the bitter note appears later. Natural care and the absence of additives together give the clean olfactory profile, which is determined solely by the flowering aerial mass of the plantations. The aqueous base is clear and carries the scent without separated particles. The aerial origin of the sage is evident in the herbal and lasting direction of this distillate.

Storage
