Description

Our natural Scots pine essential oil for animals is extracted from the needles of the evergreen tree species with the botanical name Pinus sylvestris. It is offered under the name White Pine natural essential oil for animals. The oil takes a liquid and free-flowing form with a clear, homogeneous appearance. This form carries a colour ranging from light yellow to yellow-green, as the needles release their green pigment. The aroma opens freshly and maintains a strongly refreshing tone. The tone remains pure because only the volatile ingredient of the raw material passes into the oil during steam distillation. The needles cover the branches of a tree of the Pinaceae family, which grows on poor, dry soils in open mountainous regions of Eurasia. Pinaceae brings together long-lived tree genera, and individual trees live for centuries. The trees for our raw material grow in Bulgaria, where the forest stands occupy the high southern parts of Osogovo, Pirin, Rila and the Rhodopes. The stands are renewed under natural cultivation, and the needles retain their entire terpene reserve. The terpene reserve gives the product a dense olfactory foundation, so the coniferous signature remains clear. The foundation owes its density to its mountain origin, while slow growth on poor, stony forest slopes concentrates the volatile reserve in the raw material. The reserve reaches the product in its full volume. This volume consists only of volatile terpenes, among which monoterpenes predominate. The natural composition of the pine raw material reaches the liquid without preservatives or colourants, while sesquiterpenes complete the volatile profile.

Application

It is incorporated into shampoos and detergents for cleaning the coat after walks or bathing, as well as into balms for softening and nourishing dry coats and maintaining their shine, softness and density, including during seasonal shedding and in long-haired breeds. It is suitable for formulas for the hygiene of paws and the area around the ears, for sprays with a deodorising effect to control unpleasant odours, as well as for products for natural protection against fleas, ticks and other external parasites. Its aromatic qualities find a place in relaxing herbal baths, massage oils with a relaxing action and aromatherapeutic care that brings a sense of the forest into the daily lives of four-legged animals. In addition to direct coat care, the oil is also used in products for freshening beds and bedding, sanitising living spaces, disinfecting accessories and toys, and freshening transport cages and bags. The combination of a fresh aroma and cleansing properties makes it suitable both for daily use and for preparing the coats of show animals.

Storage

Store natural Scots pine essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging and, as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder to a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the essential oil for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
