Description

Our natural white fir hydrolate for aromatherapy is obtained from the species Abies Alba, whose needles remain the only plant part used. The product is known as White Fir Natural Hydrolat. Botanical classification places the species in the Pinaceae family, which unites coniferous woody plants with pronounced resinous tissue. Resin canals occur in the bark, needles and cones, which is why the needles form the basis of the aromatic profile. Plantations in Bulgaria provide the plant mass, and the harvested needles retain their resin content. The plants are grown naturally, so the composition remains free of preservatives and colorants, and the olfactory picture comes solely from the plant material. The extraction relies on steam. Steam distillation retains only the water-soluble volatile constituents, since the aqueous medium carries a limited range of aromatic substances, and gives the scent a refined character. The aroma stays at a medium level and remains recognizable without dominating. The scent combines sweetness and an herbal character with distinct spicy notes. Limonene, pinene, camphene and bornyl acetate lead among the constituents of the needle oil, from which the spicy notes in the olfactory profile of the distillate derive. The coloring starts from faint yellow, moves to green-blue and reaches dark blue. The color transition is associated with the needles, while the aqueous medium softens the intensity of the coloring. The liquid consistency remains unchanged under normal conditions. The aromatic profile is formed by the needles, while the aqueous base keeps its intensity within moderate limits. The moderate scent and the refined plant origin shape the overall character of this distillate.

Storage

Use only aluminum or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably dark glass, which protect the aromatherapy hydrolate from light.
