Description
We present organic tansy essential oil for drinks, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Tanacetum vulgare. The product is offered under the name Tansy organic essential oil for drinks. The liquid has a rich blue-green tone that is clearly visible on inspection. The tone comes from the flowers of the species, where the precursors of azulenes gather and are retained until the volatile fraction is extracted. The flowers also carry a strong, fresh scent with a minty character and a slight sweetness. The scent remains clean and full, as only the volatile substances from the collected inflorescences of the species pass into the finished liquid during steam distillation. The volatile substances make up the entire composition of the product and determine its character. The composition of the liquid remains entirely organic and contains no added preservatives. Preservatives are absent, together with artificial colourants, throughout the product blend. The blend owes its organic purity to organic cultivation in the plantings. The plantings are located in Bulgaria, where the species also grows in natural habitats along roadsides and on uncultivated land in various parts of the country. In addition, the range of the species extends over a significant part of the European continent and reaches far to the north. The species belongs to the Asteraceae family, which brings together plants with a high content of volatile substances in their inflorescences. The inflorescences remain the sole raw material for tansy oil, so the advantage of a single plant source is fully preserved. The minty freshness of the liquid remains dominant in its olfactory profile.
Application
The oil is used primarily in the production of drinks, where it introduces a fresh, minty and slightly sweet character even when added in very small quantities. It is suitable for herbal infusions and cold, toning formulations, for functional plant blends intended for balance and recovery, and for non-alcoholic aperitifs with a slightly bitter nuance. It is successfully included in organic syrups for dilution with water or soda water, in flavoured water, in teas for digestion and detoxification, and in refreshing cocktails with a natural aromatic profile. The oil enriches energy shots, tonics with a pure composition, lemonades and freshly squeezed juices with plant accents, as well as fermented products with a probiotic effect. It has a place in evening formulations for relaxation, in products for daytime hydration with a plant supplement, and in combinations with citrus for refreshing summer compositions. It is also used in specialised formulations to support the overall vitality of the body, in botanical essences for bars and restaurants, in bitter plant-based liqueurs with a digestive effect, in combined concentrates and in lines for flavouring non-alcoholic products. The pronounced and lasting aroma allows precise dosing and a consistent result in a variety of formulations aimed at natural taste, refreshment and a toning sensation.
