Our organic tansy essential oil for aromatherapy is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Tanacetum vulgare. In international practice, the product is designated as Tansy organic essential oil for aromatherapy. The plant source belongs to the Asteraceae family, and the species' natural range covers much of Europe, including the Balkan Peninsula. Bulgaria, where the raw material for the oil comes from, also forms part of this range. The Bulgarian stands provide the flowers, which are collected at full bloom and undergo steam distillation. Steam distillation transfers only the volatile compounds of the flowers, so the scent of the finished liquid remains pure and true to its plant source. The scent is distinguished by a strong character, a fresh mint note and a light sweetness. The freshness unfolds on a liquid base with a blue-green colour. The colouring originates from the plant's flowers, which carry the precursors of azulene compounds, and these compounds give the liquid its rich blue shade. The composition of the liquid remains entirely organic because the raw material grows under organic cultivation. The organic character of the contents excludes added preservatives. Storage
