Description
We offer natural spruce needle hydrolate for animals, which is extracted from the needles of the plant Picea abies. The name Spruce natural hydrolate for animals accompanies the product on foreign markets. The plant belongs to the Pinaceae family, and the needles are collected from areas in Bulgaria, where the care of the plantations follows a natural order throughout the year. Cultivation follows a natural order, which is why neither chemical agents nor artificial fertilization reach the needles during the entire growth period. The needles are used for extraction, while the other parts remain outside the processing. Steam distillation determines the strength of the scent, as the volatile substances of the raw material pass into the aqueous phase and are retained in it. The aroma is strong and carries a fresh base with a resinous side and forest nuances. The color ranges from colorless to a pale yellow tint. The pale yellow shade is due to the compounds that the needles transfer to the aqueous phase. The clear liquid maintains a constant appearance throughout its entire depth. The resin ducts, located in the mesophyll of each needle along its longitudinal axis, are behind the formation of the scent and its retention in the tissue. Descriptions of the needles highlight bornyl acetate, limonene, pinene and borneol as the leading volatile constituents of this tree species. The main compounds in the aqueous phase are oxygenated monoterpenes such as borneol and terpineol. In addition, the liquid holds water and the volatile compounds of the harvested raw material, while colorants and preservatives remain outside its composition. The natural care regime is also reflected in the purity of the final composition. The fresh forest tone remains characteristic of this natural spruce needle hydrolate.
