Description

Our organic rosemary CO2 select extract for perfumery is obtained from the leaf mass of the plant Rosmarinus officinalis of Bulgarian origin. The evergreen shrub grows upright or prostrate, and the older stems become woody and over the years form short trunks at the base, which is evident in mature plantings. Organic cultivation under Bulgarian conditions excludes synthetic fertilisers and pesticides in the field. The family Lamiaceae places the species among the labiate herbs and small shrubs of the temperate zone. The extraction takes place with supercritical carbon dioxide, whose dissolving power disappears together with the pressure and leaves the leaf concentrate without a carrier at the end of the cycle. Residual solvents are absent, so the liquid mass reaches the final product unchanged. The part used is limited to the needle-like leaves of the shrub without the stems. The odour strength occupies the intense and strong level of the overall range when the volatile part is assessed. The liquid state is preserved at room temperature in the closed warehouse. The spicy herbal character outlines the scent of the volatile liquid fraction. The colour covers the dark greenish and brownish range without foreign shades in the spectrum. The greenish range originates from the chlorophyll in the needle-like tissue, while the brownish one comes from the resins and wax in the glandular tissue of the needles. The composition comprises the organic leaf concentrate, since preservatives and colourants have no access to the concentrate during extraction with gas under pressure from the leaf mass. Furthermore, auxiliary carriers remain outside the liquid phase. The fields in the southern plains produce a uniform needle-like mass in dry summers. The brownish shade is clearly visible in the liquid concentrate during enclosed and dry storage.

Storage

Store organic rosemary CO2 select extract in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C and you will thus prevent oxidation and loss of properties. Limit the exposure of the opened packaging to air, and pour the remaining quantity into a smaller clean and dry container. Light is blocked by dark glass and aluminium, which is why they are preferred for perfumery products. Do not leave the container open, as air and moisture impair the parameters. When the conditions are observed, the aroma and quality are preserved longer.
