Our organic rosehip fruit CO2 total extract for cosmetics is obtained from the fruit of the plant with the botanical name Rosa canina. Organic cultivation of the fields in Bulgaria proceeds without synthetic substances. Wild Bulgarian fruits ripen round and smaller, while the selected cultivar form from the Plovdiv region produces elongated and larger fruits with a denser fleshy wall. We work exclusively with the fleshy wall of the fruit. The fleshy wall sets the dark red to orange tone, as the coloring part leaves the tissue together with the volatile fraction at each successive separation. The extraction is carried out with supercritical carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide leaves completely, so the finished liquid contains no residual solvents, and the aromatic line remains free of any side admixture throughout the working volume. Within the Rosaceae family, the species stands among the genera with thorny stems and fleshy fruit walls. The organic practice in our plantings removes foreign substances, which is why colorants and preservatives have no access to the composition in any working volume. The light spicy nuance comes to the fore without a sharp accent. The fragrance rises from medium to intoxicating strength.
