Description

We offer natural lavender hydrolate for aromatherapy, obtained from the aerial part of the plant with the botanical name Lavandula angustifolia. In international practice, the liquid is designated as Lavender natural hydrolate for aromatherapy. The product is a clear liquid with a uniform and light density. Steam distillation underlies the clear aromatic profile, as only the volatile constituents of the aerial mass of the plant pass into the liquid. The aerial stalk of the plant serves for the extraction. The light tone of the liquid derives precisely from the stalk, which is why the color remains within the range from colorless to slightly yellowish without the use of external colorants. The Lamiaceae family comprises herbaceous and subshrub genera in which the glandular apparatus covers the aerial part of the stem. Capitate and peltate glandular trichomes, which collect the volatile fraction, develop on the aerial organs of the species. The Bulgarian plantations are maintained under a natural care regime. The natural care of the plantations also determines the composition, so the liquid contains no preservatives, colorants or other additives beyond the aqueous base and the volatile fraction. The scent stays within soft limits. The floral direction leads the aromatic profile, while the herbal side follows closely behind it in the overall scent of the distillate. The characteristic aroma of the species is mainly due to linalool and linalyl acetate, while the other compounds contribute to the profile of the distillate to a lesser extent. In labiate plants, the aqueous phase of distillation collects mainly polar oxygenated compounds. In addition, the origin remains within the borders of the country. Lavender leaves a soft floral progression and a distinct herbal thread in the overall scent of this distillate.

Application

It is applied in facial waters with a refreshing action, in pillow sprays that support restful sleep and in diffuser compositions, where the soft floral and herbal character of the aroma is valued. It is also included in bath products, such as salts and foams with a relaxing effect, as well as in balms and oils used in practices for restoring emotional balance. It is found in toning body sprays, in compositions for meditative rituals and in aromatic bedroom mists, where it adds a fine floral note without becoming heavy in intensity. It is also suitable for blends accompanying breathing and relaxation practices, in which its natural origin and delicate profile play a key role.

Storage

Store natural lavender hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably dark glass, which protect the aromatherapy hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
