Description

We present natural hyssop essential oil for animals, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Hyssopus officinalis. The product is offered under the name Hyssop natural essential oil for animals. Its scent comes out sharp, and herbal and camphoraceous tones alternate within it. The range of these tones unfolds in a mobile liquid whose uniform consistency remains unchanged throughout the entire volume. The liquid remains colourless to pale yellow, as the stalk contributes only faintly coloured constituents to it. The stalk is harvested at the height of flowering from plantations in Bulgaria. The plantations carry a plant of the family Lamiaceae, which grows as a perennial subshrub with upright fragrant shoots and narrow leaves covered with glandular hairs. The subshrub is grown naturally, which is why the raw material enters extraction with an unchanged plant composition and its full volatile potential. Extraction proceeds through steam distillation, so the volatile fraction retains its pure herbal fragrance and comes close to the character of the source raw material. The fraction gives the product a fully natural base. In addition, preservatives and colourants are absent from the finished composition. The composition covers the volatile substances of the flowering aboveground part. Among these substances, isopinocamphone and pinocamphone hold first place, followed by beta-pinene in the monoterpene group of the composition. Their ketone base explains the camphoraceous density of the profile, while the herbal line comes from the accompanying monoterpene hydrocarbons. Hyssop oil keeps its sharp herbal tone in the finished liquid.

It is also used in means for sanitising cages, accessories and living spaces, and also in supplements to foods with plant ingredients. It is suitable for inclusion in organic formulas without synthetic preservatives intended for pet care. When used in specialised products, the established safety standards are observed in accordance with European regulations.

Storage

Store natural hyssop essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for animal products, preferably of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for animals from light. Close tightly after each use so that air and moisture do not penetrate. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
