Description
Our natural Scots pine hydrolate for cosmetics originates from the species Pinus sylvestris. In international practice, the product is designated as White Pine natural hydrolate for cosmetics. The product is an aqueous distillate obtained by steam distillation of the needles. The distillate is liquid and clear, and its tone varies from colorless to pale yellow. The pale color is due to the small amount of coloring substances that pass into the aqueous phase, while most of them remain in the raw material. The fragrance of the liquid is fresh and herbal, with medium strength. The fresh herbal note comes from the needles, which remain on the twig for several years and accumulate the volatile substances of the coniferous plant. The plant belongs to the Pinaceae family, and the raw material for this distillate originates from Bulgaria. The raw material is grown naturally, as only in this way is the natural balance preserved between the volatile constituents that the needles accumulate during their growth. Natural cultivation maintains the pure composition of the raw material and is reflected in the final olfactory profile, which remains close to that of the living needles. The distillate has an entirely natural composition, with no added preservatives or colorants. The purity of the composition is evident in the unobtrusive olfactory profile of the liquid. The unobtrusive profile comes from the limited proportion of dissolved volatile substances that the aqueous medium is able to retain. The aqueous medium gives the product a softness that can be perceived throughout the fragrance. The softness is combined with the pure natural composition of this aqueous Scots pine distillate. The liquid consistency allows the fragrance of the needles to remain equally pronounced throughout the volume.
Application
Scots pine hydrolate has a wide range of applications in cosmetics, where it is incorporated as the aqueous phase in the creation of skin and hair care products. It is a suitable base for toners with a tightening and refreshing action, intended both for oily skin prone to enlarged pores and for sensitive skin that needs gentle soothing. It is included in creams and lotions for moisturizing the face and body, in masks with a purifying or restorative effect, as well as in serums for night care and for brightening the complexion. Its refreshing qualities make it suitable for facial sprays and mists that hydrate the skin during the day, as well as for facial cleansing gels and foams for problem skin prone to imperfections. In hair care, it is incorporated into shampoos, conditioners and masks that help strengthen the hair shaft, restore shine and help regulate scalp oiliness. It combines well with men's care formulas, such as shaving products and aftershave balms, as well as with after-sun lotions that soothe the skin after exposure to heat. It is also suitable for face and body scrubs with a gentle exfoliating action, for hand and foot creams with a softening effect and for lip balms with a protective function. Its fresh character also complements aromatherapeutic care products, adding a sense of cleanliness and comfort in daily use.
