Description

We present organic white fir hydrolate for perfumery, obtained from the plant of the species Abies alba. In international practice it is designated as White Fir organic hydrolate for perfumery. It is produced by steam distillation of the needle raw material. Steam distillation is the reason the aroma remains pure, as nothing beyond the volatile part of the needles reaches the finished liquid. The needles are taken for processing. On the underside of each needle, two wax stripes formed by rows of stomata are visible, and it is precisely this part that provides the raw material for the distillate. The scent combines sweetness with an herbal base and spicy notes. The strength of the aroma remains moderate and does not change significantly between individual harvests from the plantations. The hydrolate ranges from colorless to pale yellow. The distillate is a clear liquid with the same appearance throughout its mass. The species takes its place among the members of the Pinaceae family. The plantations are located in Bulgaria and are tended under an organic regime that keeps the composition free of preservatives and colorants throughout the entire cycle. The organic method of cultivation is evident in the purity of the raw material, while the extraction method is evident in the purity of the scent. In addition, the liquid retains its homogeneous appearance in every processing. The white fir provides a raw material whose characteristics recur within the described limits for color, consistency and strength of aroma. The appearance of the distillate rests on the needle raw material, on steam distillation and on the organic cultivation regime in the Bulgarian plantations.

Application
White fir hydrolate is widely used in the creation of fragrance products with a coniferous character. It is incorporated into perfume sprays, eaux de toilette and eaux de cologne, where it adds a fresh forest accent, and in luxury and niche compositions it serves as an element that imparts a resinous nuance and herbal depth. The material is also suitable for fragrance essences and concentrates intended for designer and limited collections, as well as for unisex fragrances and for day and evening lines for men and women. In cosmetic practice, it is used for scenting creams, soaps, deodorants, balms and intimate cosmetics, as well as in refreshing face and body mists and in hair sprays. Its application also extends to home products, such as sprays for textiles, clothes and bed linen, scented candles, diffusers and accessories for interiors and cars. The ingredient is valued in spa products and fragrance waters for everyday freshness, as well as in boutique fragrance lines, where natural materials with a clean forest profile are sought.

Storage

Store organic white fir hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for perfumery from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
