We offer organic thyme essential oil for cosmetics, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Thymus vulgaris L. The product bears the name Thyme organic essential oil for cosmetics. The oil carries a strong aroma that unfolds from a sweet base to a spicy top with a light citrus hint. The hint is perceived together with the rich colour, which ranges between yellow-brown and red-brown. The colour comes from the aboveground stalk, in which the colouring and aromatic substances are concentrated, since the leaves and inflorescences enter the raw material together. The stalk leaves a uniform appearance throughout the entire volume of the liquid. The liquid originates from plantations in Bulgaria, where the plant from the Lamiaceae family finds suitable soils and climate. The soil and climate largely shape the richness of the volatile constituents, which is evident in the strength of the fragrance and in its fullness. The volatile constituents reach the oil by way of steam distillation, and the gentle method keeps the aromatic profile pure and true to the plant. The oil supports the revitalisation and toning of the skin, accelerates regeneration processes, strengthens the protective barrier, stimulates blood circulation in the epidermis and balances the microbiome. It is incorporated into creams for skin prone to rashes and for hormonal imbalance, into organic soaps, into deodorants and antibacterial hand lotions, as well as into lip balms with antimicrobial action. It is also used in after-shave products, for the care of ingrown hairs, for freshening the legs and feet, in shampoos for a scalp with dandruff and in intimate hygiene products. It is suitable for freshening the skin in hot weather and after sport, for protection against pollution and for creating cooling and scented products with a herbal profile and a disinfecting effect.

Storage

Store organic thyme essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder to a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for cosmetics from light. Close tightly after each use so that air and moisture do not penetrate. Compliance with these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
