Description

We offer natural thyme hydrolate for aromatherapy, obtained from the plant Thymus vulgaris. In international practice, the product is designated as Thyme natural hydrolate for aromatherapy. Its botanical affiliation leads to the Lamiaceae family, which unites many aromatic herbs. The entire aboveground stalk is used for the distillation, and this is the source of the dense dark tone of the liquid, which ranges from yellowish to dark brown. The extraction relies on steam, since the steam method preserves the purity of the herbal aroma. The strength of the scent lies at the high end, and the profile combines an herbal base with woody notes. The volatile fraction forms in the secretory cells of the glandular hairs and collects in the subcuticular space, so the strength of the aroma remains linked to the condition of the harvested aboveground mass. Cultivation follows a natural approach, and preservatives and colorants remain outside the composition. The harvest comes from Bulgarian plantations. The consistency remains that of a clear and homogeneous liquid. In addition, the rich tone of the distillate and the dense scent go together, because both properties originate from one and the same processed raw material. While the lignified stem yields few aromatic substances, the glandular hairs on both sides of the leaf carry the main share of the volatile part of the raw material. The hydrolate preserves its connection with the raw material, and the herbal side remains recognizable in the aroma. It is also applied in compositions for yoga and meditation studios, in car sprays with a refreshing effect, as well as in aromatic baths and compresses that support a feeling of vigor. Its stable composition also allows inclusion in liquid-based candles, sachet fillings and products for creating a pleasant home atmosphere during the autumn and winter months.

Storage

Store natural thyme hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for aromatherapy products, preferably dark glass, which protect the aromatherapy hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
