Description

We offer natural thyme hydrolate for animals, from the species Thymus vulgaris. The product is known as Thyme natural hydrolate for animals outside the Bulgarian market as well. The plant belongs to the Lamiaceae family together with the other aromatic labiates. The raw material gathers the leaves and flowers, separated from the woody stem during the preparation of the harvest. The glandular trichomes are located on both sides of the leaves, which is why the leaf part carries the main share of the volatile substances in the finished liquid. The leaves and flowers enter the distillation together, as a common plant mass. The color ranges between yellowish and dark brown, and the dark end of the range comes precisely from the dense aerial mass of the stalk itself. The extraction is carried out with steam on the harvested green mass of the crop. The extraction takes place solely with steam, which is why the aroma of the liquid remains true to the herbal base and the woody notes of the raw material. The strength of the scent is at the upper end of the aroma scale. On inspection, the distillate is a clear and mobile liquid. The plantations develop on arable Bulgarian land. The plants are grown naturally on the land in the region, and the composition of the final liquid accepts neither preservatives nor colorants. In addition, the pure composition and the pure scent go together, so the liquid preserves the character of the processed herbal raw material. The hydrolate maintains a strong link between the harvested raw material and the final aromatic profile of the finished liquid. Alongside the dense herbal tone, thyme also leaves its rich dark color in the liquid.

Application
Thyme stalk hydrolate, obtained by steam distillation from natural cultivation, is a suitable ingredient with a warm, herbal-spicy aroma for pet care. It is used in making insect repellent sprays for the coats of dogs and cats, in cleaning solutions for cages and pads, as well as in disinfecting formulas for stables and barns. It is also used in coat shampoos with a refreshing effect, in paw wipes with an antibacterial action, as well as in ear sprays for pets with a soothing action. It also finds application in solutions for cleaning accessories and toys, in textile sprays for pet beds, as well as in deodorizing formulas for rooms inhabited by pets. It is also used in the production of hoof care products for horses, in cleaning solutions for the cages of small pets, as well as in sprays for freshening spaces with a long-lasting herbal aroma.

Storage

Store natural thyme hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
