Description
We offer organic tansy hydrolate for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the plant of the species Tanacetum vulgare. The product is known abroad under the name Tansy organic hydrolate for pharmaceuticals. The botanical affiliation of the plant leads to the Asteraceae family. The plantations grow in Bulgarian fields and are maintained according to organic practice. The flowering part is used, as that is precisely where the glandular trichomes with the volatile secretion are located. The biseriate structure of the trichomes and the subcuticular cavity beneath them retain the aromatic substances until distillation and explain the density of the final aromatic profile. Steam serves as the carrier during extraction, which is why the finished liquid preserves the original ratio of the volatile constituents in the flower tissue of the plant. The coloration ranges from colorless to a slight greenish tone and is determined by the floral raw material. The liquid form is maintained throughout the volume. The fragrance has high strength and is recognized immediately. The bitter, sharp and rich sides build the aromatic character of this distillate. The constituents described for the species include camphor, chrysanthenyl acetate and thujone, which are behind the rich bitter tone of the liquid and its strength. The flower heads are harvested at full bloom, and the dense corymbs are made up only of tubular yellow florets. The organic method of cultivation rules out added preservatives and colorants, while steam distillation keeps the aromatic profile of the liquid unchanged. The strength of the fragrance of tansy hydrolate stems from the concentration of volatile substances in the glandular layer, and the aqueous base distributes them throughout the volume. The final product combines the organic origin, the floral raw material and the stable aromatic character.
