Description
We present organic tansy hydrolate for animals, obtained from the plant of the species Tanacetum vulgare. The name Tansy organic hydrolate for animals accompanies the species in international practice. The volatile substances originate in biseriate glandular trichomes, and the subcuticular cavity beneath them serves as the site of their accumulation in the tissue. The raw material is obtained from the flower heads at full bloom and retains its dense volatile composition. The corymbs contain only tubular yellow florets, so the starting material remains uniform in structure. Extraction with steam preserves the ratio between the volatile constituents and explains the purity of the fragrance in the finished distillate from floral raw material. Camphor, chrysanthenyl acetate and thujone are among the constituents described for the inflorescences and determine the rich bitter tone. The coloration fluctuates between colorless and slightly greenish. The liquid form of the product remains unchanged. The aroma has a strong degree of expression. The bitter, sharp and rich sides appear simultaneously. Organic cultivation in Bulgaria ensures the pure composition, as added preservatives and colorants are completely absent. The Asteraceae family places the species among the composite plants, while the specific aromatic profile comes from the glandular layer in the tissue of each individual inflorescence. The strength of the fragrance and the rich bitter tone go together and come from one and the same tissue, namely the flowering part of the plant. The aqueous base of tansy hydrolate distributes the volatile substances evenly and maintains a constant aromatic character throughout the volume of the finished liquid. The final liquid links the organic regime, the floral raw material and the strong fragrance into one common profile.
