We present organic tansy essential oil for perfumery, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Tanacetum vulgare. In international practice, the product is designated as Tansy organic essential oil for perfumery. The product is a liquid with a rich blue-green tone that is clearly visible when viewed in daylight. The tone owes its intensity to the flowers, more precisely to the precursors of azulene compounds that they contain in their tissues until extraction. The flowers also impart their olfactory character, a strong profile with a fresh mint base and a slightly sweet finish. The sweet finish of the profile remains clearly perceptible, as steam distillation carries only the volatile fraction of the blooming inflorescences into the finished liquid. The inflorescences are collected at the full flowering stage from stands in Bulgaria. The stands in Bulgaria follow organic cultivation, which determines the purity of the raw material and its composition. The species from which the raw material comes belongs to the Asteraceae family, whose representatives occur throughout Europe. Storage
