Description

We offer organic rosemary hydrolate for drinks, obtained from the species Rosmarinus officinalis. In international practice, the product bears the name Rosemary organic hydrolate for drinks. The scent unfolds with high strength, adds a light spiciness and leaves a bitter note in the finish. Its basis originates in the aerial mass, where the peltate glandular trichomes hold the volatile fraction in an extensive secretory cavity on the leaves of the species. Capitate glandular trichomes are also present on the leaves of the species, and non-glandular ones line up next to them. The Lamiaceae family brings together plants whose stalk carries the main share of volatile substances in the entire organism. The plantations grow in Bulgaria and provide the fresh aerial part for the extraction of this aqueous distillate. Organic cultivation excludes synthetic fertilizers and all agents against pests, which is why the distillate takes in no foreign substances of external origin. Behind the clean aroma is steam distillation, in which only the light volatile compounds of the entire aerial stalk from the plantations pass into the water. The tone ranges from colorless to light pink, and darker shades do not appear. The weak coloring reveals a small amount of coloring substances in the distillate. The clear liquid retains its uniform appearance without separated sediment. The organic composition includes only plant ingredients and takes in no preservatives or colorants. Descriptions of the species list cineole, pinene and camphor first, closely followed by camphene and borneol in the entire olfactory picture of the raw material. The spicy side comes forward at the beginning, while the bitter one appears after it. The distillate remains fully connected to the stalk from which its scent originates.

It is applied in detox blends with a light freshness, in cocktails with floral notes and in iced teas with herbal delight. It is used in energizing smoothies with a slightly spicy flavor, in flavored waters with an herbal nuance and in summer mixes with citrus accents. It finds application in juice combinations with an added herbal flavor, in tonics with a slightly bitter aftertaste, as well as in non-alcoholic cocktails with herbal notes. It is suitable for water infusions with a rosemary aroma, for fruit and herbal blends with a refined taste, as well as for cocktail bases with herbal extracts, giving every recipe a refreshing and balanced herbal finish.

Storage

Store organic rosemary hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for drink products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for drinks from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the quality and safety of the product for a longer period.
