Description
We offer organic rosemary hydrolate for cosmetics, which is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Rosmarinus officinalis. It is known as Rosemary organic hydrolate for cosmetics. The stalk is the part used in the extraction, and its leaf surface bears peltate glandular trichomes with the extensive secretory cavity characteristic of the species. Capitate glandular trichomes and non-glandular trichomes also complement the covering of the leaves in this plant species. The plant belongs to the Lamiaceae family, in which the aerial mass holds the main share of aromatic substances in the entire organism. The purity of the olfactory profile results from steam distillation, as only the light soluble compounds of the entire plant raw material remain in the water. The aroma manifests itself with great strength, the spiciness remains light, and a bitter nuance closes the impression. The tone of the distillate starts from colorless and does not go beyond light pink. The scant amount of coloring substances explains the pale color. The plantations in Bulgaria are maintained according to organic rules, that is, without chemical agents against pests and without synthetic fertilizers applied to the soil. The organic conditions keep the stalk free of foreign residues, so the olfactory picture comes solely from the plant material of the plantations. Preservatives and colorants are not part of this liquid. At the forefront of the described compounds are cineole, pinene and camphor, while camphene and borneol follow immediately after them in the overall olfactory picture. The spicy line arises from these compounds, while the bitter side emerges at the back of the overall olfactory sensation of the liquid. The dry direction of the scent comes from the aerial origin of the raw material. Rosemary remains the sole source of this olfactory profile.
Application
Rosemary stalk hydrolate, produced by the organic method through steam distillation, is a popular ingredient in cosmetics due to its toning and refreshing effect on the skin. The liquid is included in moisturizing creams, soothing facial toners and micellar waters for gentle cleansing. It is applied in regenerating masks, serums with a nourishing effect and softening body lotions. It is used in facial cleansing foam, balancing essences for combination skin and eye contour creams with a refreshing effect. It is suitable for light-textured fluids intended for daily care, for compresses for tired skin and for sprays that refresh the complexion during the day. It also finds application in body balms, pore toners and massage oils with a delicate consistency. The mattifying and clarifying properties of the product also make it suitable for oily skin care formulas, while its slightly spicy herbal aroma complements the feeling of freshness in every face and body care formulation.
Storage
Store organic rosemary hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably dark glass, which protect the cosmetic hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
