Description

Our organic rosemary hydrolate for animals comes from the species Rosmarinus officinalis. In international practice, the product bears the name Rosemary organic hydrolate for animals. The aerial stalk is used for extraction, and the volatile compounds remain in the peltate glandular trichomes, whose secretory cavities on the leaves of the species are extensive. The Lamiaceae family includes the species whose aerial part holds the main share of aromatic substances, while the roots remain completely aside from this role in the plant. The aroma manifests itself strongly, carries a light spiciness and leaves a bitter note at the end. The tone ranges from colorless to light pink and does not darken in the liquid. The small amount of coloring substances explains the pale color of the distillate. The aqueous base looks clear and uniform throughout its entire volume. Steam distillation is responsible for the clean character of the scent, since only the light volatile compounds of the aerial stalk of the plant pass into the water. In Bulgaria, the care of the plantations follows organic rules, under which chemical agents against pests and mineral fertilizers are completely excluded. The plant material remains free of synthetic residues, and therefore the stalk character of the distillate stays even. The entirely organic composition remains free of preservatives and colorants. Among the compounds of the species, cineole, pinene and camphor come to the fore, and it is they that define the spicy side, followed by camphene and borneol. The absence of additives links the olfactory picture solely to the aerial material, and its character remains the same. The spicy note emerges first, while the bitter one lines up behind it. The aerial origin of rosemary can be perceived until the very end of the scent.

Application

The liquid is part of shampoos with a gentle cleansing action, ear cleaning wipes and paw care balms. It is used in sprays for seasonal protection against insects, in mists for freshening bedding, as well as in sprays for preparing the coat before brushing. It is applied in rinse solutions after bathing, in foam for sensitive skin, as well as in wipes for travel and transport. It finds application in disinfectants for cages and pet houses, in drops for coat shine, as well as in wipes for the muzzle after feeding. It is suitable for lotions for mild redness, for sprays that maintain freshness between grooming procedures, as well as for formulas for calming after a veterinary examination, leaving the coat of pets soft and pleasantly scented.

Storage

Store organic rosemary hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
