Description

Our organic rosemary CO2 total extract for aromatherapy is obtained from the leaves of the Rosmarinus officinalis plant, grown on an organic farm in Bulgaria. The organic regime in the field excludes synthetic fertilisers and pest control agents. The part used extends to the needle-like leaves of the evergreen field shrub. Extraction is carried out with supercritical carbon dioxide, which loses its dissolving capacity when the pressure is released and leaves the concentrate without residue. Residual solvents do not appear in the total fraction because of the gaseous agent. The liquid form remains unchanged at normal storage temperature in the warehouse. A spicy herbal tone dominates the odour profile of the liquid fraction. The odour strength holds a high intense and strong level, since the total extraction carries the volatile monoterpenes together with the resinous diterpenes from the leaf tissue. The colour covers the dark greenish and brownish range without foreign shades. The greenish component originates from the chlorophyll in the needle-like leaf blade, while the brownish admixture points to the resinous substances in the glandular hairs on the underside of the leaf. The phenolic acid that bears the name of the plant was first obtained precisely from its leaves. The composition consists solely of the organic leaf concentrate, as colourants and preservatives remain outside the high-pressure gas extraction. In addition, water and auxiliary agents remain outside the extract. The Lamiaceae family places the species among the labiate plants of the dry south. The dry areas of the country concentrate the glandular hairs on the needles in summer. The dark greenish and brownish range accompanies the liquid organic concentrate in a closed container.

Storage

Store the organic rosemary CO2 total extract in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Storage at +5°C to +20°C protects the product from oxidation and from loss of beneficial properties. When the packaging is open, keep the amount of air to a minimum and transfer the remainder to a smaller dry bottle. For aromatherapy products, use aluminium containers or dark glass bottles that do not let light through. Close the cap fully immediately after each use. Observing these conditions extends the period during which the aroma and quality remain unchanged.
