Description
Our natural rosemary CO2 select extract for supplements is obtained from the species Rosmarinus officinalis originating from Bulgarian plantings. Spanish raw materials of the species carry more alpha-pinene, while Moroccan and Tunisian ones give a higher share of camphor in the volatile part of the leaf tissue. The labiate family Lamiaceae unites the species with the related aromatic herbs of the temperate zone. The part used is limited to the leaves, where the glands with volatile substances reach their highest density. Natural cultivation keeps the plantings free of synthetic fertilisers and herbicides. The extraction is carried out with supercritical carbon dioxide, which turns into gas at reduced pressure and leaves the leaf concentrate down to the last molecule. Residual solvents are absent owing to the gaseous nature of the pressurised extraction medium. The spicy herbal tone forms the basis of the odour, as the leaf terpenes shape it. The odour intensity lies in the intense and strong part of the overall assessment range. The liquid form remains stable in a closed container at room temperature. The composition contains only the leaf concentrate, since colourants, preservatives and carriers remain outside the product during extraction from the leaves with a pressurised gas medium. The colour ranges within the dark greenish and brownish spectrum of the liquid fraction. The greenish direction derives from the chlorophyll in the needle-like leaves, while the brownish tint comes from the resinous diterpenes in the glandular tissue of the leaf surface. In addition, water remains outside the volatile fraction. The field plantings in the dry regions provide a needle-like mass with a dense glandular surface. The dark colour range remains clearly distinguishable during indoor storage.
Application
Rosemary extract is used in the production of food supplements as an active ingredient in capsules supporting antioxidant protection, tablets supporting the digestive system, complex formulas for cognitive function and concentration and supplements supporting the general vitality of the body. It is included in products for liver detoxification, in supplements with an antibacterial profile for internal use and in natural formulas for maintaining metabolic health. It is suitable for use in liquid supplements and tinctures, in powder blends for dissolving, in chewable tablets with a pleasant flavour profile, in functional supplements for athletes and in the wide range of natural nutraceutical products.
Storage
Store natural rosemary CO2 select extract in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C and the quality will remain unchanged. After opening, reduce the air in the packaging, and when less content remains, transfer the remainder into a clean and dry bottle of smaller volume. Light is blocked by dark glass and aluminium, which is why they are preferred for food supplements. Closing tightly after use protects the contents from air and moisture. When the conditions are observed, quality and safety are preserved for longer.
Attention !!!
Please use rosemary extract according to the described instructions and follow the safety recommendations. Contact with the eyes and mucous membranes should be avoided, and in case of contact the affected area should be rinsed with water. Discontinue use of rosemary extract if an allergy such as redness or irritation appears. We recommend performing an allergy test before use.
