Description
Our natural rosehip CO2 total extract for perfumery is based on the ripe fruit harvested from the species Rosa canina. Natural cultivation in Bulgaria proceeds without synthetic auxiliary agents. The harvest from our fields arrives pure thanks to natural practice, so the finished liquid fraction is free of colourants and preservatives at any volume. We pick only the ripe fruit of the shrub. The family Rosaceae groups the species alongside the fruit tree genera of the temperate latitudes of the northern hemisphere. The extraction takes place by means of supercritical carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide is removed completely, so the finished liquid remains free of residual solvents and conveys the scent without a side tone that could cloud the fruity line. Among the terpenes of the species, researchers record beta-citronellol and caryophyllene, and it is precisely the terpene group that underlies the fruity-floral character of the liquid phase. The fruity-floral base leads the profile, while the light spicy nuance outlines its edge from the side without sharp intrusion. In an enclosed room, the medium strength of the scent flows into an intoxicating one. The consistency remains liquid and mobile, without thickened areas and without sediment at the bottom of the container. The dark red tone covers the dense volume, while the orange side of the colour stands out as soon as the liquid spreads in a thin layer over a light surface. Alongside the fruity density, the spicy edge remains light and does not take over the front position. The liquid phase spreads evenly and retains its dark red depth even after prolonged standing in a cool place. The ripe fruit passes its colour on to the fraction, as the pigment and the volatile molecules leave the tissue together. The intoxicating fullness comes with a tiny volume.
Application
Rosehip extract obtained by supercritical CO2 extraction is an interesting raw material in perfumery due to its delicate fruity-green aroma with a slightly spicy nuance and natural warmth. It is incorporated into eaux de toilette with an unobtrusive fruity character, into perfumes with a balanced botanical profile and into fragrance compositions with a fine earthy softness. The extract is suitable for the role of a base note in building niche fragrances with pronounced naturalness, for artisan perfumery with a soft character and for unisex formulas with a smooth transition between accords. It is also used in the development of perfume bases for feminine compositions, fragrances with a delicate texture for everyday use and blends with a smooth structure and dry botanical accords. The natural origin of the raw material lends the final compositions authenticity and complexity, which are particularly valued in modern niche and botanical perfumery focused on clean and recognisable fragrances.
Storage
Store natural rosehip CO2 total extract in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Storage at +5°C to +20°C protects the product from oxidation and loss of beneficial properties. When the packaging is open, keep the amount of air to a minimum and transfer the remainder into a smaller dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the extract for perfumery from light. Close the cap fully immediately after each use. Observing the conditions extends the period during which the aroma and quality remain unchanged.
Attention !!!
Please use the rosehip extract according to the instructions described and follow the safety recommendations. Do not allow contact with the eyes and mucous membranes, and in case of contact rinse with plenty of water. Discontinue use of the rosehip extract if an allergy such as redness or irritation appears. We recommend carrying out an allergy test before use.
