Description

We offer natural oregano essential oil for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Origanum vulgare. In international practice, the product is designated as Oregano natural essential oil for pharmaceuticals. The plant takes its place among the herbaceous perennial herbs, and botanists assign it to the family Lamiaceae with a rich volatile profile. Herbs of this family also grow in Bulgaria, where the cultivation of the plantations takes place in a natural way. The plantations yield aboveground stalks with glandular hairs, which store the main part of the essential oil. The oil retains an entirely natural composition, as the natural cultivation method determines its plant character and the purity of the substances in it. The composition includes only substances from the herb itself, and no external supplements enter it in any form. Preservatives and colourants are absent from the finished liquid. The plant character is complemented by a modest yield relative to the dried aboveground plant material, which explains the saturation of the product and the strength of its fragrance. The saturation is complemented by the purity that steam distillation imparts to the olfactory profile. The profile remains distinctly herbal both in origin and in composition. The liquid itself shows a faint yellowish to greenish colour, corresponding to the greenery in the aerial parts, and retains it unchanged throughout the entire volume. Furthermore, the colour goes together with a strong and sharp aroma, whose warmth gives way to a sweet-herbal spiciness. The warm spiciness of oregano remains distinct throughout the liquid.

Application

The oil finds application in the formulation of diverse pharmaceutical forms intended for internal and external use. It is used in the preparation of tablets and capsules with antimicrobial and antiviral action, as well as in syrups and herbal extracts for relieving cold symptoms and for maintaining the general tone of the body. It is also applied in creams, ointments and gels for soothing skin inflammations, irritations, rashes, eczema and minor wounds, and drops based on it are included in detergents for the throat and for clearing the respiratory tract. Furthermore, it is suitable for solutions and remedies for muscle and joint pain, spasms and arthritic complaints, for antiseptic detergents for urinary tract infections and for tinctures that help reduce stress and anxiety. It also finds application in supplements for detoxification of the body, regulation of digestion, maintenance of normal blood pressure and blood sugar levels, strengthening of the bone structure and support of heart health. It is also used to create remedies against flu and respiratory infections, for sinusitis, for calming the nervous system and improving sleep, as well as for detergents regulating hormonal balance and metabolism. Thanks to these properties, the oil is a valuable ingredient in pharmaceuticals, and its versatility allows its inclusion both in traditional pharmaceutical forms and in modern natural supplements and detergents for general strengthening of the body.
