Description

We present natural oregano essential oil for perfumery, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Origanum vulgare. The product bears the name Oregano natural essential oil for perfumery in international practice. The name stands for an entirely natural composition whose ingredients originate solely from the herb itself and retain their plant character through to the final liquid. Preservatives and colourants are not part of the composition, and the liquid retains the pure plant appearance of its ingredients. The purity stems from natural cultivation, since the cultivation method fully determines the natural character of the plant raw material used and of the oil itself. The raw material yields a liquid with a slightly yellowish to greenish tint, which follows the greenness of the aerial parts used and is preserved throughout the entire volume. The tint accompanies a strong and sharp aroma. The aroma remains unchanged because steam distillation fully conveys the olfactory profile of the herb. The profile comes from a species that botany places in a genus of perennial herbaceous plants of the Lamiaceae family. The family includes species with glandular hairs on the aerial parts, where most of the essential oil accumulates. The hairs cover stalks from plantations in Bulgaria. The plantations provide raw material with a modest yield relative to the dried aboveground plant material, which is why the liquid carries a pronounced strength. The strength is complemented by the sharp character, while the warm sweet-herbal spiciness softens the overall fragrance. The aromatic sharpness of oregano remains entirely plant-based in origin.

Application
Natural oregano essential oil for perfumery offers an intense and earthy aroma and stands out as a valuable ingredient in creating original perfume compositions. In perfumery, it serves as a heart or base note, adding warmth, depth and spicy sharpness to floral, woody or oriental perfumes. The oil is incorporated into concentrated perfume oils and eaux de toilette with a unisex character, giving them expressiveness and longevity. It is used in the production of natural perfumes without synthetic components, valued by consumers seeking authentic aromatic experiences. In compositions, it is combined with lavender, sandalwood, cedar, bergamot and clove to achieve complex and refined fragrances. It is applied in the development of scented candles with a herbal and Mediterranean character, in fragrant sprays for home use and in car air fresheners. The oil is also included in natural body perfumery lines, including scented creams, perfume lotions and dry oils for the skin with a long-lasting fragrance. Its characteristic aroma also makes it suitable for limited collections of luxury niche products in the field of perfumery.
