Description

We offer organic nettle hydrolate for cosmetics, obtained from the herbaceous plant Urtica dioica. The product is offered under the name Nettle organic hydrolate for cosmetics. Extraction is carried out with steam. Steam distillation narrows the range of dissolved constituents, so the scent of the liquid remains clear and free of impurities foreign to the raw material. The raw material comprises only the leaf part of the plant. Stinging glandular hairs densely cover the leaves and stem, and the dense covering can be seen across the entire green mass. The plants are grown organically on land in Bulgaria and receive no artificial auxiliary agents. The organic management of the land determines the composition, as external preservatives and added colorants do not enter the finished distillate under any conditions. The species yields a scant volatile fraction and stands apart from the classic essential oil plants, and the soft level of the aroma stems from this characteristic. Freshness, an earthy base and herbal notes together outline the type of scent of this distillate. The fresh raw material releases mainly alcohols into the aqueous fraction, while hexenol carries a grassy green tint that can be recognized in the fresh part of the profile. The liquid is colorless or pale yellow. The light tone of the liquid is due to the leaf material, which releases few coloring compounds during processing. The product remains in a liquid state with a consistent density over time. The Urticaceae family encompasses herbaceous forms without a woody part, and the source plant belongs precisely to this group. In addition, the organic nettle distillate retains its light appearance and restrained scent, while the earthy thread remains recognizable to the very end of the profile. Application
Nettle leaf hydrolate is widely used in cosmetics as a functional aqueous phase in the development of skin and hair care products. In facial formulas, it is incorporated into cleansing toners, micellar waters, gentle cleansing gels and foams, as well as cleansing milks, where it brings a feeling of freshness and comfort after impurities are removed. It is also suitable for moisturizing creams, light fluids, serums and face masks, including those for combination skin, where balancing oiliness and maintaining an even texture are sought. Soothing post-cleansing gels and eye contour creams may also include this herbal water in their composition. In hair care, it is used in shampoos, conditioners and masks that support easy combing, smoothness and natural shine, and in scalp lotions and hair serums it contributes to a feeling of vitality and balance. Refreshing sprays and mists allow application throughout the day to tone the skin or hair. In body products, the hydrolate is incorporated into lotions and creams with a softening and moisturizing action, into body gels with a refreshing character, as well as into hand creams and foot lotions for everyday comfort. Lip balms with a nourishing formula complete the range of possible applications.

Storage

Store organic nettle hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably dark glass, which protect the cosmetic hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
