Description
Our organic nettle essential oil for pharmaceuticals is obtained from the plant with the botanical name Urtica dioica. In international trade practice, the product bears the name Nettle organic essential oil for pharmaceuticals. The oil appears as a liquid with an even pale yellow tone. The tone originates in the leaves, where the plant accumulates the bulk of its pigments, and therefore passes into the finished liquid form of the end product. The liquid consistency goes together with an aroma that remains delicate in its strength. The aroma unfolds a fresh base on which an earthy shade and a herbal note rest. The note leads to a plant species of the Urticaceae family, which includes perennial herbaceous representatives across the temperate latitudes of Europe and neighbouring Asia. Our plantations are located in Bulgaria. The fields provide leaf mass for the entire extraction. From there come the leaves, which serve as the only part used. The part used undergoes steam distillation, and this method gives the oil purity of the aromatic profile and a preserved natural appearance of the leaf raw material. In addition, the purity is enhanced by the scarce natural reserve of volatile substances characteristic of the nettle species. Organic cultivation adds a third advantage, as it determines which substances accumulate in the plant tissue of the plantations before extraction. The accumulated substances make up the entire composition of the finished product, into which no preservatives and colourants enter, while the organic purity remains complete. The composition consists solely of the volatile fraction separated from the leaf raw material.

In pharmaceuticals, nettle essential oil is used for its high biological activity and natural compounds with anti-inflammatory, detoxifying and tonic properties. It is incorporated into pharmaceutical products for improving blood circulation and reducing inflammation, for relieving pain in the joints, muscles, back and neck, as well as for arthritis, rheumatism and chronic conditions of the joints and tendons. The oil finds application in products for regulating hormonal disorders, the menstrual cycle and menopause symptoms, in products for strengthening the overall tone of the body and protecting against infections, as well as for allergies and asthma. It is suitable for hair care detergents for hair loss and for nail health, for care in skin conditions such as acne, rashes, irritations and eczema. It is included in formulas for improving the digestive system, for gastritis and ulcers, for normalising blood sugar levels and for detoxification of the liver and kidneys. It is also used for colds, flu and respiratory tract conditions, for anaemia and iron deficiency, to support the cardiovascular system, regulate cholesterol and blood pressure, to boost energy tone and in conditions of stress and chronic fatigue.

Storage

Store organic nettle essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and changes in quality. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, pour the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for pharmaceutical products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for pharmaceuticals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the quality and safety of the product for a longer period.
