Our natural nettle essential oil for drinks originates from the plant with the botanical name Urtica dioica. In international practice, the oil is designated as Nettle natural essential oil for drinks. The oil is a uniform liquid with a pale yellow tone. The liquid carries a delicate aroma with a fresh herbal direction, along with a light earthy support. The aroma rests on the volatile compounds of the leaves, among which chemists single out carvacrol as the leading constituent in the studied volatile part of the species. The species grows in Bulgaria, where the temperate latitudes coincide with its natural range. The range covers Europe and parts of Asia, and botanists define the plant as a perennial herb with a creeping rhizome and upright aboveground stalks. The plant belongs to the family Urticaceae together with related herbaceous species. The species of the family yield leaves, and steam distillation separates the light aromatic fraction from them. Distillation with water vapour retains the heavy non-volatile substances in the plant mass, which is why the aromatic profile reaches the final liquid completely pure. The final liquid gathers exclusively natural ingredients. Storage
