Description
Our organic Mentha spicata essential oil for pharmaceuticals is obtained from the species Mentha spicata. It is known as Spearmint organic essential oil for pharmaceuticals. The product appears as a clear liquid with a shade between colourless and pale yellow. The pale appearance of the liquid goes with the stalk as the part used, since the green tissue releases only a very scant amount of pigment during the extraction of the oil. The aroma leans towards fresh and sweet, and the menthol note gives the entire fragrance a medium strength. The plant comes from plantations in Bulgaria, where cultivation follows the organic regime. The species belongs to the Lamiaceae family, whose herbaceous members bear a square stalk and tiny glandular structures on their green aerial parts. The product rests on this botanical source, on the plant raw material and on the gentle steam distillation of the stalk. Steam distillation leads to a clean scent, so the olfactory profile of the product stays close to the original greenery of the aboveground stalks from the plantations. The composition is built solely from organic plant substances of the aboveground stalk. Preservatives and colourants remain outside it. Organic cultivation determines this purity, which is why only natural compounds from the aboveground green part of this botanical species enter the blend. Storage

Store organic Mentha spicata essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and changes in quality. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle.
