Description
We offer organic Mentha spicata essential oil for perfumery, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Mentha spicata. In international practice, it is known as Spearmint organic essential oil for perfumery. The oil builds its composition entirely from organic plant substances of the aboveground part of the species, and preservatives or colourants are not part of it. Among these substances, carvone holds the leading position, while limonene follows it in importance in the aromatic fraction. The raw material comes from Bulgaria, where the plantations are grown organically. The species belongs to the Lamiaceae family, whose members bear aromatic glands on their aerial parts, and it is precisely there that the volatile essential oil accumulates. The stalks of the plant are used for the extraction. Steam distillation transfers the scent in pure form, which is why the aromatic profile remains true to the aboveground plant material from the Bulgarian plantations of the species. The aroma combines freshness and sweetness with a menthol direction and manifests itself at medium intensity. The liquid remains colourless or turns to a pale yellow tone. The light colour range of the liquid is due to the selected aboveground part, as the stalk releases few colouring substances. The liquid consistency gives the product a uniform appearance. The organic origin of the raw material, the plant part used and the gentle steam distillation determine the purity of this perfumery material. Storage

Store organic Mentha spicata essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for perfumery products, preferably made of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for perfumery from light. Close tightly after each use so that air and moisture cannot penetrate. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
